SAC Jet Fighter Bombs Bus in Northern Shan State

Two civilians were killed, and three middle-aged women were wounded, with one in critical condition when a State Administration Council (SAC) jet fighter attacked the bus they were traveling in Mongmit District in northern Shan State.

The bus was traveling in Mabein Township, near Kachin State, last week when the plane dumped two bombs, and one of them struck the bus, an eyewitness told KNG. “The bus driver and the second driver were instantly,” he explained.

While KNG was unable to determine their names at the time of the press, it was discovered that the main driver is from Pyin Htawng Lay, and the other is from Kyauk Htong Gyi in Katha Township. The injured women were sent to a hospital in Sagaing Region.

The bus was traveling on the Nga-Oh – Mabein road because the Htigyaing road was closed.

An anonymous People’s Defence Force soldier reported no fighting in Mabein Township on the day of the attack, but SAC forces attacked Arakan Army the day before in the Kachin Independence Army’s Battalion 12 area in the township.

After the bombing, the jet fighter was spotted flying over Hkaw Taw, Ahtet Rambo, and Ouk Rambo villages.
